(Style: Steampunk)

The "Steampunk Monkey" is a flying, fiery engine of electrical and slashing "Death from Above."

Constructed from old toys and iron tools, its "shocking cymbals" and blowtorch tail spell certain doom for our tiny heroes. "Hey, burlap is highly flammable, don'tcha know?!"

Tools & inspirations:
Photo-manipulation using PS CS4 and over a dozen images.

Found objects: Jolly Chimp cymbal-clashing monkey toy, flexible lamp neck, iron screw bolt, ratchets, blowtorch nozzle, toy bat wings, veggie slicers, toy train smokestack, and hot wheel.

Thanks for the kind words!

In the not so distant past, I spent a ton of my free time trying to practice photomanipulations on Photoshop. I think all of that practice helped me with my contest designs.

You have some excellent drawing and imaginative skills. Your wish is going to come true, because the more you create and love your art, the better and better you'll become.

I'm not very good at drawing and painting right now. But I plan to start working hard and learning from the master artists around here, so I know I'll improve.

WOW! I love your monsters, and I really like that you drew the ragdolls on the same pose. Awesome job! I wish I can do something like that, good luck for the contest!

Of all the ones I've seen for the contest so far, your three entries are the best. I think this one is my favorite and should get the first prize. Wonderful imagination!

Yeah, was there ever a creepier toy for kids (that was supposed to be fun) than that old cymbal clanging "Jolly Chimp?"
